Pierwsza z nich (zwana Saltire) nawiązuje do patrona Szkocji – Świętego Andrzeja. On nie chciał umrzeć na krzyżu, na którym został ukrzyżowany Jezus, więc zmarł na ukośnych belkach. To była jego ostatnia prośba.

Scotland in our heads… Szkocja w naszych głowach… We usually associate Scotland with characteristic instrument – bagpipes, kilts and famous town – Glasgow. Zazwyczaj kojarzymy Szkocję z charakterystycznym instrumentem – dudami, szkockim spódnicami, które noszą nazwę kilts i słynnym miastem – Glasgow.

Edynburg or Glasgow? Edynburg czy Glasgow? Of course, Edynburg is a capital of Scotland! But Glasgow is considered as commercial capital of Scotland. It’s the biggest city of this country. Oczywiście, że Edynburg jest stolicą Szkocji. Ale Glasgow jest uważane za komercyjną stolicę Szkocji. Jest największym miastem tego państwa.

Loch Ness I think everybody knows the legend about a monster from the lake, right? The legend about Nessie! Nessie is a monster from the Loch Ness. And Loch Ness is located in the Scottish Highlands. Myślę, że każdy zna legendę o potworze z jeziora, prawda? Legenda o Nessie’m! Nessie to potwór z jeziora Loch Ness. A jest ono położone na szkockich wyżynach.
