  SNMP Simple Network Management Protocol to standardowy protokół TCP/IP wykorzystywany do monitorowania urządzeń pracujących w sieci IP. Elementy składowe : Server lub Manager: BVMS posiada wbudowany SNMP Server, który można skonfigurować do monitorowania wszystkich urządzeń IP znajdujących się w systemie! Agent: Wszystkie kamery i nadajniki w systemie pełnią rolę agentów. MIB: Management Information Bases to lista parametrów które mogą być monitorowane poprzez SNMP Server. Indywidualnie przypisane parametry posiadają swój (OID) Object Identifiers. Trap: Notyfikacja od urządzenia (agent) do serwera (manager) zawierająca OID w celu identyfikacji typu zdarzenia.
