2 The National Park of Mur á nska planina with its wild mountain karstic landscape and minimum human interventions is located between central and eastern parts of Slovakia. On the top of the peek, we find the fabled ruins of the Castle of Mur á n. 3 The territory of the Park contains numerous karstic springs, swallow holes, and jets, more than 300 caves and 15 abysses. Its terrain is refreshed by sink holes, grikes, canyons, rock towers, and rock windows.

4 About 1,400 species of vascular plants grow here. The most distinguished plant of the territory is lykovec mur á nsky ( Daphne arbuscula ) - endemit and cenozoic relict of Mur á nska planina. There is a natural occurence of creodonts - grey wolf ( Canis lupus ), brown bear ( Ursus arctos ) and Eurasian lynx ( Lynx lynx ).

9 Park Narodowy Płaskowyż Murański ( N á rodný park Mur á nska planina ) znany z dzikiej górskiej krasowej krainy i w którym zachodzi minimalna ingerencja człowieka znajduje się na pograniczu środkowej i wschodniej Słowacji. Na wysokiej turni wznoszą się ruiny Grodu Murań ( hrad Mur á ň ), o którym krąży mnóstwo legend.

10 Na jego terenie znajduje się mnóstwo krasowych źródeł, zanurzeń i wytrysków, ponad 300 jaskiń i 15 przepaści. Jego relief urozmaicają zagłębienia, szkarpy, kaniony, skalne wieże i skalne okna.

11 Rośnie tu około 1 400 gatunków roślin wysokogórskich. Do najbardziej znaczących należylykovec mur á nsky ( Daphne arbuscula ) - endemit i relikt z okresu trzeciorzędu, który przetrwał na Plaskowyżu Murańskim do dnia dzisiejszego. Ten obszar jest naturalną przestrzenią życiową dla drapieżników - wilka szarego ( Canis lupus ), niedźwiedzia brunatnego ( Ursus arctos ) i rysia eurazjatyckiego ( Lynx lynx ).
