Family Farm „TD Dobra SRL” Our first destination was a Family Farm „TD Dobra SRL”. It’s a private farm dealing with breeding different animals and growing crops. During the presentation the menager of the farm informed us about the kind of machinery they use and how they manage with this family farm. They don’t receive any European funds, they concentrate mostly on the local market. Naszym pierwszym celem wizyty była firma rodzinna „TD Dobra SRL”. Jest to prywatna firma zajmująca się hodowlą różnych zwierząt i uprawą zbóż. Podczas prezentacji kierownik firmy poinformował nas o różnych rodzajach maszyn wykorzystywanych w tym gospodarstwie i jak radzą sobie z prowadzeniem tej firmy. Nie otrzymują oni żadnych funduszy europejskich i koncentrują się głównie na rynku lokalnym.

Bee Farm in Tulcea County The next visit was at the Bee Farm in Tulcea County. It was a very interesting lecture about beekeeping presented by the owner of the farm. This bee farm is also a family farm which concentrates only on the organic products, they don’t use any pesticides, moreover, they have European Health Certificate. They receive European funds and their honey is pure and of the highest quality. The owner told us different kinds of honey which is their main product. We had even the chance to taste this delicious honey taken out just from the hives. Następnie odwiedziliśmy farmę pszczół w Tulcea. Odbył się tam bardzo interesujący wykład o pszczelarstwie prowadzony przez właściciela farmy, podczas którego dowiedzieliśmy się, że jest to również farma rodzinna korzystająca jedynie z produktów organicznych, bez użycia pestycydów i posiadająca Europejski Certyfikat Zdrowia. Otrzymują oni fundusze europejskie,a ich miód jest najwyższej jakości. Właściciel farmy opowiedział nam o różnych rodzajach miodu, który jest ich głównym produktem. Mieliśmy niepowtarzalną okazję skosztować wyjątkowego miodu prosto z ula.

Beekeeping Research and Development Insitute in Tulcea The next stage was a visit at the Beekeeping Research and Development Institute in Tulcea. The manager of the Institute informed us about the improvements of beekeeping and research on prolonging the blooming period. At the end of the meeting we had a chance to taste a traditional Romanian cake „COZONAC” made of honey, raisins and nuts. Następnym etapem była wizyta w Instytucie Badań i Rozwoju Pszczelarstwa w Tulcea. Kierownik tego Instytutu poinformował nas o sposobach ulepszania i przedłużania okresu kwitnienia. Na koniec spotkania mieliśmy okazję skosztować tradycyjne rumuńskie ciasto „cozonac” robione z miodu, rodzynek i orzechów.

Dan and Elena’s Pension During our stay in Romania we were living in a Dan and Elena’s Pension in Mahmudia village. It’s the family business and the owner of the pension offers different services like cruises by the Danube Delta river and the possibility of fishing. Thanks to the access to the Danube Delta river local people take benefits from it. The river it’s not only a place to admire for tourists and a home different species of animals but also a place of work. Thanks to the nearby river the local speciality is fish which is served on many different ways. Podczas naszego pobytu w Rumunii zatrzymaliśmy się w Pensjonacie Dana i Eleny w Mahmudii. Jest to rodzinny biznes i właściciel pensjonatu oferuje różne usługi takie jak rejsy łodzią po Dunaju oraz możliwość łowienia ryb. Dzięki dostępowi do rzeki miejscowi ludzie czerpią z niej korzyści. Rzeka jest nie tylko atrakcją dla turystów i domem dla różnych gatunków zwierząt, ale także miejscem pracy. Dzięki bliskości rzeki miejscowym przysmakiem jest ryba podawana na wiele różnych sposobów.

Lombardi Agro Lombardi Agro is a family farm of a medium size which grows up to 3000 pig heads for generation. The farm has 2 owners who are associated, moreover they have crop farm, so the food for pigs come from this production. They have variety of cereals, they store wheat, barley, corn and soya beans. The interesting fact is that they are experimenting to feed the pigs with pellet made of „alpha alpha”. The farm is fully automated and it gets 50% of European funds. They also have „Adam Agrorent” shop specializing in selling parts, buying and fixing machinery for farmers. Lombardi Agro jest rodzinną firmą o średniej wielkości w której hoduje się do 3000 świń. Właścicielami farmy są dwie spokrewnione osoby, ponadto zajmują się również uprawą zbóż, co pozwala im zaoszczędzić na produkcji paszy dla świń. W skład zbóż wchodzą pszenica, jęczmień, kukurydza i soja. Interesującą rzeczą jest eksperyment z peletem z lucerny, którym karmione są świnie. Farma jest w pełni zautomatyzowana i otrzymuje 50% funduszy Europejskich. Właściciele posiadają również sklep Adam Agrorent, który specjalizuje się w sprzedaży, kupnie oraz naprawy maszyn rolniczych.

Macin Wine Centre The wineyard was founded in 2002 and it is a Romanian - Belorussian partnership. It has 3000 hectares of wineyards, half of which is located in Cerna village and the other half is in another village and it’s a new wineyard. They offer a lot of varieties of wine - local and foreign ones. Moreover, they are still modernizing the process of wine production and get a lot of different funds on that purpose. They are aging wine in oak barrels (Romanian oak) because it inreases the quality of wine. We were invited here for the feast and we had a chance to taste different varieties of Romanian wine and local dishes. While eating the specialities the owner was telling us about the process of wine production and different kinds of wine. Winiarnia została założona w 2002 roku i jest Rumuńsko – Białoruską spółką. Posiada ona 3000 hektarów winiarni, z których połowa zlokalizowana jest w wiosce Cerna, a druga nowa w sąsiedniej wiosce. Oferują wiele rodzajów win, miejscowych i zagranicznych. Stale unowocześniają procesy produkcji wina i otrzymują na to dużo różnych funduszy. Przechowują wino w dębowych beczkach (dąb rumuński) ponieważ zwiększa to jakość wina. Byliśmy również zaproszeni na ucztę, podczas której mieliśmy okazję delektować się różnymi rodzajami rumuńskich win oraz lokalnych potraw. Podczas posiłku właściciel opowiadał o procesie produkcji wina i ich rodzajach.

The final results were the Faculty of Agriculture Certificates of University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Mediciene of Bucharest.
