W Nowym Jorku mieszka ok. 1,3 mln ludzi pochodzenia polskiego. Zajmują wiele ważnych stanowisk w administracji i przemyśle, odgrywają dużą rolę w nauce, kulturze i sztuce. Budynek wyposażony został w pierwszy na świecie system przeciwpożarowy. Posiada również elektrociepłownię, która może dostarczyć prąd i parę do ogrzewania budynku.
