Tak się wciągnęła, że teraz o niczym innym nie myśli. - Dobrze, że zima idzie, będę miała więcej czasu, żeby przy klawiaturze posiedzieć - zaciera ręce gospodyni. Informatyką zaraża mieszkańców Ślemienia wójt Małgorzata Pępek. - Komputer w każdej zagrodzie - to jej motto. Załatwiła pieniądze z Unii Europejskiej, kupiła sprzęt i na trzy tygodnie wypożycza pecety mieszkańcom. Ci mogą w tym czasie do woli surfować po internecie dzięki bezpłatnym i bezprzewodowym łączom. Chętnych jest mnóstwo! - To nasz autorski projekt - szczyci się Małgorzata Pępek. A rolnicy chwalą sobie pomysł pani wójt. Wielu od dawna marzyło o wejściu w wirtualny świat, ale albo nie było ich stać na komputer, albo na kursy nie mieli czasu, bo w polu robota trwa od rana do nocy. A teraz mogą zasiąść do klawiatury w domu, wtedy, gdy mają czas. Poza tym starsi nie muszą wstydzić się przed młodymi na grupowych kursach, że nawet nie wiedzą, jak włączyć peceta i do czego służy mysz. - Przy dwójce dzieci i gospodarstwie na karku szans nie było, żeby wyrwać się z domu na jakiś kurs w gminie. Całe szczęście komputery przyszły do nas. Super! - cieszy się Lucyna Matlak ze Ślemienia, która tak pokochała komputer, że teraz myśli o założeniu własnej firmy i samodzielnym prowadzeniu księgowości. Ludzie dowiadują się z internetu o nowinkach w rolnictwie, rozmawiają z sąsiadami na gadu-gadu, grają. Maria Sarlej, która prowadzi gospodarstwo agroturystyczne i hoduje krowy, wreszcie miała okazję zobaczyć stronę internetową, jaką kiedyś założyła jej gmina. - Podglądaliśmy też konkurencję, co tam nowego w agroturystykach wprowadzają. Teraz to ja bez komputera nie będę mogła żyć. A internet to panie podstawa, żeby turystów przyciągać - uśmiecha się pani Maria. Ma już nawet własnego peceta, ale na razie nie stać jej na płacenie za internet, dlatego chwilowo wykorzystuje go do puszczania wnuczkom bajek. Górale lubią się uczyć Mieszkańcy Ślemienia bardzo lubią się kształcić. Gmina właśnie prowadzi dla rolników kursy z przedsiębiorczości i uczy ich języków niemieckiego oraz angielskiego. – Wielu rolników wyjeżdża za granicę do pracy – wyjaśnia Marcin Zyzak z Urzędu Gminy w Ślemieniu. Do udziału w zajęciach zgłosiło się 100 rolników, a kolejni już czekają na drugą edycję. Zajęcia odbywają się w weekendy. Gmina opłaca ludziom przejazdy, podręczniki, nawet obiady. Ślemień zdobył na projekt 1,3 mln zł z Unii. Gdy w gminie powstał punkt informacyjny z kilkoma stanowiskami komputerowymi wójt Małgorzata Pępek odkryła, że górale pałają do techniki wielką miłością. - Kolejki się ustawiały, ludzie chcieli nauczyć się surfować po internecie, pisać maile, podania, życiorysy. Początkowo sama wielu pomagałam w redagowaniu dokumentów, ale z czasem uznałam, że ludziom trzeba jakoś szerzej pomóc - wyjaśnia. To wtedy powstał pomysł, żeby mieszkańcom za darmo wypożyczać do domów komputery. Urzędnicy napisali projekt i zdobyli z Europejskiego Funduszu Społecznego 1,5 mln zł, za co kupili 25 pecetów, sześć laptopów, modemy, oprogramowanie, opłacili techników i zaczęli informatyzować wieś. Komputery z bezprzewodowym łączem internetowym trafiają do wszystkich zainteresowanych górali. Są wypożyczane na trzy tygodnie. Zupełnie za darmo. Pierwsze kroki uczą stawiać ludzi informatycy, potem jednak ludzie zostają sami ze swoimi pecetami i wirtualnym światem. Muszą uczyć się na własną rękę korespondując tylko z nauczycielami mailem. Na koniec kursu muszą zdać test, który jest potwierdzeniem, że poznali podstawy informatyki. - Bałam się, że projekt mi nie wyjdzie, bo ludzie nie będą chcieli się uczyć. Zdziwiłam się. Już mamy 200 osób przeszkolonych, a kolejni się zgłaszają. W sumie zamierzamy objąć programem 340 mieszkańców gminy - cieszy się pani wójt. - Teraz już umiem napisać podanie do gminy, życiorys, wiem jak posługiwać się internetem, gadu-gadu, potrafię maila napisać - cieszy się Lucyna Matlak, która skończyła kurs nie wychodząc z domu. Na udziale w projekcie skorzystał też Jan Kapała, 52-letni rolnik. - Żona ma w pracy komputer i nie chciałem być gorszy. Teraz internet to już nie jest dla mnie czarna magia - przekonuje zadowolony. Gdy realizacja projektu się zakończy, komputery przejdą na własność gminy. Małgorzata Pępek już wie co z nimi zrobi. - Przekażę je do przedszkola. Niech się dzieci w zerówce uczą - przekonuje. Pani wójt marzy się, aby kiedyś każde gospodarstwo w jej gminie miało komputer i było podpięte do sieci. - Kiedyś nas gazyfikowali, a teraz informatyzują - śmieją się górale. Idea internetu w małych wioskach gdzie o dostęp do informacji jest bardzo ciężko jest świetna, żeby tak więcej było chętnych do naśladowania.
